Chevening Scholarships Programme

The British Chevening Scholarships, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and administered by the British Council, are prestigious scholarships that enable young students from abroad to pursue postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

 

These scholarships are offered by the British Government in more than 150 countries, so that talented graduates and young professionals may become acquainted with the UK and gain new expertise for the benefit of their own countries.  In the Dominican Republic, the programme is open for postgraduate studies in all subject areas with the exception of medicine, art, or language studies.  To date more than 70 Dominican scholars have benefited from this prestigious programme.
