Early June Leonora Dipp, Trade and Investment Officer of the British Embassy, travelled to UK to participate in UK Trade & Investment Leadership Conference held on 1-2 June.  Two hundred senior leaders from across the network attended the event to evaluate the assistance provided to British exporters interested in exploring new markets or in expanding their operations in those they are already established throughout the world.  

Later in the week, she participated in the Latin American Workshop together with Head of Sections and Trade Officers from most of the Latin American countries.  This activity took place on 3-4 June in London and Manchester where she had one-to-one meetings with over twenty UK companies interested in doing business in the Dominican Republic.

The following week she attended the Maritime Industries Roadshow together with Trade Officer from other regions of the world, and had one-to-one meetings with over 40 British companies related to the Ports and Maritime Sector in London, Birmingham and Newcastle. The purpose of this event was to offer the opportunity to British exporters to interact with several Trade teams and discuss business opportunities available in those markets.
