Ambassador hosts reception for HM Queen Elizabeth II birthday party (17/06/2009)
To celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Birthday, Ambassador Ian A. Worthington offered a reception in his residence 10 June in Santo Domingo with the presence of renowned government officials, the British Business community and representatives of other Embassies in the country.
Ambassador Worthington explained to the guests why the Queen has two birthdays and also about the Trooping the Colour Parade held every year in London on the second Saturday of June in honour of the Queen.
To finish Ambassador Worthington asked everybody to raise their glasses for a toast to the health of Dr. Leonel Fernandez Reyna – President of the Dominican Republic- and to that of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
